Dry Needling in Luton & Hitchin

Acupuncture needles are inserted in the surface of the ‘knots’ of muscles, also known as a myofascial trigger point.

It is called dry needling because solid needles are used and nothing is injected into the body.

Benefits of Dry Needling

There are many benefits to dry needling as it:

  • Stimulates a focused twitch response in the muscle. This causes the muscle to contract and then relax which increases the range of motion.
  • Increases blood flow. This increases the oxygen supply which helps speed up the natural healing process.
  • Local analgesic (pain relief) effect at the muscle trigger point.
