Five reasons to see a Chiropractor!
Should you already be in pain before you visit a Chiropractor? Whilst a Chiropractor can certainly help you when you are in pain, many of our patients find that having preventative treatment using routine visits, is the best way to keep on top of their spinal health and to help live a pain-free life!
For a lot of us there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day for everyday things with work, children, pets, cleaning, cooking, let alone finding time to make a Chiropractic appointment – just where will you squeeze in the time? And how will you afford it?
Most Chiropractor’s offer flexible appointment times to suit most office jobs, so taking time off work isn’t necessary!
As for the cost – Chiropractors are extremely insurance friendly and you would be surprised at how affordable the treatment is, not to mention how the benefits outweigh any costs involved!
In this article I’m going to give you five reasons to see a Chiropractor!
-
Relief from back and neck pain
Probably the most common reason to visit a Chiropractor is if you are suffering from neck or back pain.
There may be many reasons as to why you have this type of pain:
- Sleeping in the wrong position.
- Poor posture.
- Sciatica.
- Disc problems.
- Car accident etc.
These are all culprits that can lead to your pain, however, there is a worrying new trend, and it has been given its own name “text neck.”
The amount of neck issues stemming from screen time is becoming more frequently seen in our Clinics.
As screens aren’t going anywhere any time soon, we must readjust the way we view spinal health to include heavy screen usage as part of our lives for work, school, and everything else!

Relief from headaches
Who hasn’t suffered from a headache at some point!? Spanning from annoying aches to crippling migraines!
For some people, headaches and migraines are caused by problems with their neck and spine. Evidence suggests that Chiropractic treatment, including spinal manipulation, improves migraine and cervicogenic headaches.
A 2016 study found that 6-8 sessions of cervical and upper thoracic spine manipulation were more effective than movement and exercise for relieving pain in people with chronic headaches – this was still the case at a 3-month follow-up!
If you have found that your headaches are interfering with your daily life or find yourself popping pills to ward off the headaches, it might be time to visit your Chiropractor!
-
An effective alternative to medication!
So, you are in pain and manage to get a G.P. appointment and they prescribe you painkillers!
It does seem in this day and age it can feel like every single issue can be medicated for!
Using Chiropractic treatment to help with your pain can provide long-term solutions by manipulating the spine, allowing nutrients to flow into the area and assist with healing.
Not only can having Chiropractic treatment help with your back and neck issues, but it will also improve your posture and benefit the rest of your body too!
-
Improved posture!
How many of us are walking around right now with a slumped, hunched, or crooked posture that makes us not only look terrible but feel terrible too!?
Having Chiropractic treatment allows you to correct your posture using a combination of adjustments and exercises. People who learn how to maintain better posture experience:
- Better self-confidence.
- Better and easier breathing.
- Improved appearance.
- Reduction in headaches.
- Reduction in back aches.
- A stronger core.
- Injury reduction/prevention.
- Improved mood.
-
Overall better health!
There is a reason for the saying “they are the backbone of the operation” because they are essential to the success of that particular business.
Your spine is essential to your health, not only does is support the upper body – which contains your organs and everything vital to your survival, but your spine is also part of the central nervous system.
Your central nervous system is how the body communicates to itself and to your brain, so if your spine isn’t functioning correctly, then it can cause problems with your body’s communication and ability to function properly!
This list of five reasons to see a Chiropractor barely scratches the surface. The truth is that making Chiropractic treatment a part of your life can offer benefits from:
- Better breathing,
- Better cognitive function.
- Faster recovery.
- Better balance.
- Increased energy.
- Improved range of motion.
A Chiropractic visit can help get you into top shape and help you feel better overall – even if you are not experiencing back pain!
